Poetry - "My Lord"

My Lord

golden tongues dance
on stone temple walls
broken down magician
on my knees before an altar
wand of whittled wood bent
pentacle in pieces on the floor
dagger dividing my heart
the cup overflows

stripped of a warm robe
cast to reality's outer reach
cold edge of the abyss
all vision consumed in blackness
quarks are teasingly flung in my face
and i know
that just beyond this veil of shadows
lies the source of Light and Life

my Lord
