What Is Man?


child of God
spark of consciousness
the same that brought
the universe into being

particle of light
seed of the sun
trapped inside
a body of clay

the wind serves the soul
lifting the inflated being
up out of the mud to stand
between the earth and the light

to move about freely
entering a journey of seeming dualities
of day and night, hot and cold
all sorts of ups and downs

but this is a journey back to the truth
that life is not yin and yang
but a yin yang
so the journey leads back

to the One
